Clarke Shop at Wilson’s Day

Starting in Mid-January, Wilson Farm will be kicking off its 14th annual Shop at Wilson Farm Days. These days are designated to give back to the local schools in our community. When a friend or family of the school shops at Wilson Farm on the designated day, 20% of their sale will be donated right back to the school. As an added bonus, the top earning school will end up receiving 25% instead of the allotted 20%. When shopping they must present the FLYER in order for the 20% to be accepted. Youth Substance Use: What Parents Need to Know

Presentation Slides

Parents of 6-12th graders are invited to this important session led by LPD School Resource Officer Kristina Hankins and Lexington Public Schools Prevention Specialist Kristie Demirev, LICSW. Parents will have the opportunity to hear about current trends in youth substance use (including vaping, marijuana, and alcohol); review recent data; understand the science behind the developing brain and the impact of substances; and learn strategies for talking with their children. LHS students will also be in attendance to facilitate Q&A with parents. This will be an interactive session, and all are welcome. The "Hidden in Plain Sight" display of a mock teen bedroom will also be set up starting at 6:30 pm for parents to walk through to help them understand common household items that could be an indication of substance use by their teen. This forum is co-sponsored by the LHS PTO, Clarke PTO, and Diamond PTA.
