Youth Relationship abuse and harassment is much more common than we think, and it is preventable. Parents play a key role in educating and supporting their children. Learn strategies to promote healthy relationships and work to prevent harrassment, bullying and sexual assault.
This interactive seminar will provide practical approaches to
Talking with kids about healthy, respectful, nonviolent relationships and abuse prevention;
Creating a culture of respect and consent for our youth;
Recognizing the signs and symptoms of interpersonal relationship violence, social norms and microaggressions that contribute to harassment, bullying and sexual/physical assault (this includes our diverse cultures, disabilities, gender identities, and sexual orientation);
Taking action if you or your child witness or experience abuse;
Understanding what consent looks like for children of varied ages;
Navigating online behavior to prevent harassment, and relationship violence;
Understanding national, state and local data on relationship abuse
